Seamlessly integrated design, constructed of both stainless steel and borosilicate glass to provide a semi-automated wiped film distillation solution for continuous material separation. Wiped film distillation is utilized to separate thermally sensitive products under vacuum and offers higher throughputs than traditional bench top short path systems.
The evaporation surface combines the benefits of 316 Ti AISI stainless steel with vertical concentric glass cylinders. These materials form the double mantled molecular still and are heated with circulating thermal fluid. The incoming crude product is spread to a thin film on the inner surface of the evaporator by means of rotating PTFE roller elements. The condenser is vertically arranged in the center of the glass evaporator, also tempered by liquid flow, to reduce the distance vapors must travel and prevent any pressure losses from a large transfer space.
The system includes a dry scroll vacuum pump with additional high-capacity diffusion, vacuum control and 2 vacuum sensors, 3 high capacity thermostats to temper feed vessel, inlet line, evaporator and the condenser, as well as outlet lines. A deep immersion cooler and enlarged cold trap provide enhanced vacuum performance throughout operation. The units are constructed with only the highest quality components available, and fully integrated electrical control cabinets.
Maintenance time on the system is minimized from a virtually tool-less construction and quick release fasteners. Moreover, transfer loss is virtually eliminated with our vertical platform and proprietary hybrid evaporator design.
